Hypervisor : VMware Workstation 10 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 2020

VMWare & hypervisor or virtual machine monitor (VMM)

In this chapter, we'll install CentOS 7 on top of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. In between, the VMWare Workstation 10 as a hypervisor (Type2 in the picture below).

Download & install VMWare Workstation 10

Get the bundle from:

Download VMware Workstation
$ cd Downloads
$ sudo chmod 755 VMware-Workstation-Full-10.0.3-1895310.x86_64.bundle
$ sudo ./VMware-Workstation-Full-10.0.3-1895310.x86_64.bundle

Install Guest OS - CentOS 7

Select "Start up this guest operating system"

The CentOS will be installed from the ISO image. The install process is easy and we can just follow the guide. The following picture is after the install and reboot:
