In this chapter, we'll install CentOS 7 on top of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. In between, the VMWare Workstation 10 as a hypervisor (Type2 in the picture below).
Download & install VMWare Workstation 10
Get the bundle from:
Download VMware Workstation$ cd Downloads $ sudo chmod 755 VMware-Workstation-Full-10.0.3-1895310.x86_64.bundle $ sudo ./VMware-Workstation-Full-10.0.3-1895310.x86_64.bundle
Virtual Machine Wizard
The ISO image for the CentOS is available at Index of /centos/7.0.1406/isos/x86_64:
Install Guest OS - CentOS 7
Select "Start up this guest operating system"
The CentOS will be installed from the ISO image. The install process is easy and we can just follow the guide. The following picture is after the install and reboot:
